MASLSA organises training cum interaction programme for para legal volunteers

Bishnupur, December 13 2019: Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Bishnupur organised a one-day training cum interaction programme for para legal volunteers of Bishnupur District at the auditorium of Bishnupur Court Complex, today.

The training programme was participated by 51 para legal volunteers of Bishnupur District.

The volunteers were trained on various Government schemes, its intended beneficiaries, benefits and entitlements identification of vulnerable and marginalized persons for providing legal aid and assistance to them.

Resource persons of the programme Siakpa Aimol, Project Manager of JCRE Skills Solution deliberated about vocational and skill development programmes such as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) while Sumolata Chanu, Special Educator from Social Welfare Department spoke about different Social Welfare schemes such as widow pension, old age pension etc.

Project Staff of Manipur State Legal Services Authority briefed on Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) Scheme and benefits and entitlements of farmers and labour cards.

The training programme was organised for effective utilization of Para Legal Volunteers of Manipur undertaken by Manipur State Legal Services Authority.
