Yuva Morcha pitches for qualified young candidates

Youth being backbone of the country, support would be rendered if well qualified youth came out to contest election, stated BJP Yuva Morcha Manipur Pradesh president Koijam Ramkrishna.
Attending the state executive meet of BYM organised by BJYM Manipur Pradesh at JN Manipur Dance Academy here on Tuesday, Ramkrishna said that the youth meet has been initiated to deliberate about the role of youth in the upcoming state assembly election to be held in early part of 2022.There are many youth in Manipur, who are well qualified in different field including politics, he noted and assured to support and recommend such prospective candidates for allotment of ticket if well qualified youth came out to contest election.
While maintaining that the youth have been able to occupy their space in Indian politics with the emergence of many well qualified youth particularly in electoral politics, Ramkrishna said that the role of youth is increasingly becoming important in the nation building process.
Youth joining politics would also help in uprooting drug related issues in the state, he said and promised to fulfil the dream of late BJP state unit president S Tikendra who envisioned that the party should get 40-plus seats in the assembly election.
He also promised to work collectively and shoulder responsibility of youth wing of the party under new BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi.
BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president and BJYM in-charge Dr Usham Deben, who also attended the meet, said that meeting for different units of the party has been held one by one after the national and state level meets.
He said that youth should shoulder responsibility in different fields and the party has no restriction in fielding youth for general election and hence the party would give opportunity to well-qualified and capable youth in contesting the upcoming election.
