Monthly village chief meeting held

Tpl, July 13 2019: Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) organised a monthly village chief/secretary meeting at T-Minou, Chandel district today.

Village chiefs and secretaries of nearby areas attended the meeting.

Details of various skill development courses offered by Assam Rifles at Multi Skill Development Centre under the PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Koushal Vikash Yojna) for the youth of the area were explained during the meeting, said a statement of IGAR (S).

Village chiefs/ secretaries showed keen interest to send maximum youth of their villages for the skill development courses and lauded Assam Rifles for conducting such drives which will help in overall development of villages by providing requisite skill to the youth and making them professionally qualified.

The recent developments and security situation were also deliberated upon and the importance for maintaining peace and harmony in the area was discussed in detail during the meeting.

The other agenda points of the meeting included security aspects, exchange of information and updation of mobile numbers.

The village chiefs and secretaries further lauded Assam Rifles for its efforts to ensure peace and tranquillity in the area.

They also assured their whole hearted cooperation with Assam Rifles in future as well.
