7,38,619 registered job seekers in Manipur till Oct 2015

Imphal, December 11 2015 : A total of 7,38,619 (Seven lakh thirty eight thousand six hundred nineteen) applicants including 5,23,694 (Five lakh twenty three thousand six hundred ninety four) male and 2,14,925 (Two lakh fourteen thousand nine hundred twenty five) female applicants were registered in the different employment exchange of Manipur at the end of October, 2015 .

According to monthly progress report on the working of Employment Service, Manipur issued by the Directorate of Employment, Manipur, the highest number of job seekers were registered in Imphal West district - 1,92,809 (1,7.5,324 males and 67,485 female) .

Imphal East district had 1,17,691 (82,992male and 34,699 female); Thoubal district 1,24,578 (97,408 male and 27,170 female); Bishnupur district 70,939 (52,566 male and 18,373 female), Churachandpur district 73,859 (54,063 male and 19,796 female), Ukhrul disirict 30,076 (20,925 male and 9,151 female), Senapati district 61,665 (44,367 male and 17,298 female), Tamenglong district 26,053 (19,640 male and 6,413 female) and Chandel district 31,503 (21,457 male and 10,046 female) respectively.

The number of those registered under Phy/Handicapped are 2,768 (1,857 male and 911 female) and under UEI & GB are 6,678 (3,095 male and 3,583 female) .

A total of 1,086 (one thousand and eighty-six) applicants including 453 (four hundred fifty three) female applicants got themselves registered with Employment Exchanges in Manipur as against 1,003 (one thousand and three) applicants of the previous month, 30 applicants including 15 female applicants were removed as they were transferred to other exchanges during the month as against no one applicants removed from Live Register of the previous month, informed a DIPR release.
