MSF condemns Govt over Swine Flu death

Imphal, March 11 2015: Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) on Wednesday criticized the Manipur Government for allegedly failing to fulfill its assurances given to the people on tackling spread of Swine Flu in the State.

The State Government has been claiming that all hospitals and other health centers have been provided with drugs and other requirements for treating Swine Flu disease, but two persons lost their lives on Wednesday, MSF working president Oinam Nandababu said during a press meet at the federation office.

He said taking up precautionary measures after fatal outcome is not a good policy and condemned the State Government for allegedly misleading the people and neglecting them with regard to Swine Flu.

The student leader urged the Government to organize massive awareness programe across the State on Swine Flu and further called on the people to be alert about the disease.

He said that if the concerned authorities fail to take up steps like giving awareness to the people about Swine Flu, MSF would start the same at all educational institutions from Thursday.
