KHUKAMPAL submits memorandum to Thoubal DC, SP against arrest of village volunteers

Thoubal, September 10 2024: The Khunnai Kanba Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (KHUKAMPAL) has submitted a memorandum each to the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Thoubal district with an appeal to stop arresting village volunteers who are dedicated to preserving the territorial integrity of Manipur henceforth.

After submitting the memorandum, AK Chitreswori, secretary, KHUKAMPAL spoke to media persons and said that the village volunteers have come forward to protect the people and their property as the State Government has failed to safeguard the people from Kuki transgressions.

Stating that KHUKAMPAL opposes the arrest of such village volunteers by the Government, she assured that the arms used by the volunteers will be willingly submitted to the concerned authorities after the conflict is resolved and peace is restored.
