Imphal, September 10 2020: Khomdram Gambhir, the man who had returned home in Manipur in 2018 after missing for 40 years has been found hanging from a bridge at his locality-Khumbong Mamang Leikai today.

Sources said locals found the 70-year-old hanging from the bridge at around 3 am today.

His last rites have been performed after post mortem.

It may be noted that Gambhir was in the news after he was found in Mumbai in 2018 after missing for 40 years.

A video uploaded on social media site(s) had led to his identification and his subsequent return to Manipur.

He left home in 1978 and afterwards went missing.

The video uploaded on social media had him singing on the streets of Mumbai.

Patsoi Police Station in close coordination with Mumbai Police had brought him home.

He was warmly welcomed by his family members and people at the Imphal Airport on his return.

His story was also published by several National media.
