Govt teachers are no less than private school teachers, says MLA

Lamlai Assembly Constituency MLA Ksh Biren has conveyed that Government teachers who were recently appointed by the State Government are no less than those hired at private institutions in terms of qualifications and skills.
He made this statement while attending the inaugural ceremony of the renovated building of Central High School, Chalou and Nongdren Khombaren Pakhangba Shanglen community hall as the chief guest today.
The ceremony was organised by Educational Development Committee and Construction Committee.
Biren said that the eligibility criteria for selecting/appointing Government teachers is far different and improved than before when it took only a few qualifications to get selected.
Conveying that Government school teachers are no less than private school teachers, he maintained that candidates have to now complete BEd and clear the TET examination to become a teacher and so the newly selected Government teachers are educated and far eligible.
The MLA appealed all to clear the general misconception and send their children to Government schools so that they receive right and proper knowledge from qualified teachers.
Maintaining that local representatives are there to hear and fulfil the grievances of the people, Biren assured to extend maximum assistance to the needs and desires of the people whenever required.
He cautioned all to remain vigilant of fraudulent social workers.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Sawombung Gram Panchayat member I Rabichandra as president, Chalou Village Development Committee president E Araba, Ibudhou Shanglen Construction Committee president S Tomba and Chalou booth level committee president L Khamba as guests of honour.
