The Naga National Council (NNC) said the NSCN-IM is involving in Indian elections but still talking about sovereignty.

"The Nagas have gone through a terrible time in the hands of the Indian armed forces.
That history cannot be ignored by any patriotic Naga.
Nagaland is still under the Indian occupational forces empowered by the draconian law of India's Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) of 1958 .
In such a situation, Isak Swu and his mentors (refer Isak Chishi Swu's message to the Sumis - January 8, 2014) repeatedly blaming the Naga National Council (NNC) as if NNC had abandoned the original stand of the Nagas that Nagaland belong to the Nagas (Urra Uvie) in 1975, in the much talk about, the so-called the Shillong Accord", the NNC stated.
"No one seemed to notice when the 16-Point Agreement and the Revolutionary Government came about.
But by blaming NNC, the NSCN-IM even involving in Indian elections still talking about sovereignty," the NNC said.
