Jiribam, February 08 2020: "The 3rd Sports Meet cum Seed Fair/Food Mela of Bread for World Project Villages" at Kaimai village in Tamenglong district has concluded today.

Organised by the People's Endeavour for Social Change (PESCH), the closing function was attended by 87 Battalion CRPF, Uchathol, Jiribam Chief Medical Officer (Commandant) Dr Florence Dangmei and coordinator RNBA Chingkhiungam Kamei as presidium members.

Held under the theme "Prepare for the better tomorrow," the event saw sports events, dance competition and many cultural performances.

The men's volleyball event was won by Kaimai Youth Club while Sibilong Youth Club bagged the second prize.

Nungkao and Oinamlong teams were given consolation prizes.

Gaila SHG Oinamlong won the title for women's volley while Sibilong SHGs team clinched second position.

In 1,000 metres race, Gaithauliu of Kaimai village was adjudged first position while Priscilla Kamei of Nungkao was adjudged second position.

Sibilong SHGs won the first prize in cultural dance competition and Gaila SHG, Oinamlong won the second prize.
