Nambashi villages get proper electricity supply after 3 decades

Villages of Nambashi in Kasom Sub-Division under Kamjong district, which are located at the extreme border of Manipur just adjacent to Myanmar, have started receiving proper electricity for the first time after nearly a period of three decades.
It is worth mentioning that The Sangai Express recently carried a news about the lack of electricity at villages situated at the border areas of the State, even though electric posts were erected 30 years before.
According to one MC John of Nambashi valley, it .was also reported in the news that Nambashi Khullen, Nambashi Khunou and Nambashi Valley has a total population of 3000.The villagers have expressed extreme gratitude to the authorities concerned for supplying proper electricity, a few days back, from the 33 KV power sub station, which was inaugurated last year.
However, the villagers have appealed the State Government to repair the road along Kasom Khullen along with the road stretch leading to Nambashi villages.
Meanwhile, The Kasom Khullen Sub Division Development Association (KKSDA) has also expressed gratitude to Power Minister Th Biswajit, ML A of 43 (ST) Phungyar AC Leishiyo Keishing, MLA of 45 (ST) Chingai AC Kashim Vashum and two Managing Director of MSPCL and MSPDCL along with its official team for fulfilling the long cherished dream of the people and electrifying the area.
It lauded the authority concerned for inaugurating the 33/11 KV sub-station at Kasom Khullen HQs on December 15, 2018 and electrifying 17 villages.
