Painting competition organised

Imphal, December 07 2017: A State level painting competition for students from class V to VIII, was organised at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound under the theme ‘Khunai Asida Thengnariba Nupigi Cheithen, today .

The competition was organised as a part of International Fortnight Observation Protesting Violence Against Women, which is observed from November 25 to December 10 worldwide .

The programme was jointly organised by Women Action for Development and Youth’s Forum for Protection of Human Rights .

Venish Keisham (class VIII, Pitambara English School) d/o Keisham Tombi Devi of Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai, Julianaa Thoidingjam (class V, Kendriya Vidyala, Lamphel) d/o Th Bijayaluxmi of Khagempali Panthak and Laiphrakpam Rohit (class VII, Don Bosco Hr Secondary School Chingmeirong) s/o L Kameshor Singh of Laipham Khunou Makha Leikai took the first, second and third position respectively .

Ribirtson Maibam (class VI, St George High School Wangkhei) s/o M Babyna Devi of Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak, Yumlembam Udoynanda (class VIII, Tiny Tots Unique School) s/ Y Umananda of Wangkhei Yumlembam Leikai, Khaidem Diyashori (class VI, DAV Public School) d/o Kh Somo Singh, Kairang Maning Leikai and Moirangthem Bronson (class VII, Sacred Heart Hr Secondary School) s/o M Lata Devi of Kongpal Kshetri Leikai won the consolation prizes.
