Financial aid extended to families of deceased Home Guards

Imphal, October 07 2024:
Manipur Home Guard Employees' Welfare Association (MHGEWA) has provided a financial assistance of Rs 1 Lakh each to the families of three deceased Home Guards today under the Manipur Home Guard Welfare Scheme.
The benefits were distributed during a function held at the headquarters of MHGEWA in Lamphelpat, Imphal West.
It was attended by MHGEWA president, Yanglem Mango; Home Guard, Commandant, Sachidananda Soibam and Deputy Commandant, Bidyapati Thingbaijam and Assistant Commandant, A Nando as presidium members.
At the event, Sachidananda lauded the Home Guards for their dedication and commitment towards their duties especially during this crucial juncture.
Y Mangi said that the welfare scheme was floated with the money pooled in by home guard personnel.
He also asserted that the association will continue to provide all possible support to the families of Home Guard personnel.
The financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each were provided to the families of Late Kh Hemabati Devi of Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Late H Naobi Leima of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak and Late Laikhuram Shyamson of Kongpal Khaidem Leikai.
