JAC to launch indefinite cease work

Imphal, July 05 2015 : Joint Administrative Council (JAC), an apex body of All Manipur Trade Union's Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Govt.Employees Organization (AMGEO) has declared to launch statewide mass indefinite cease work strike from July 20 since the Govt.has failed to fulfil the memorandum submitted to CM which consists of charter of demands.

Secretary General of JAC, Purujit Lairikyengbam in a press meet held at Manipur Press Club on Sunday warned the Govt.to fulfil the demands before July 18 .

The demands include, regularization of work charged employees in engineering dept.; promotion of master roll and casual workers of engineering dept.

into work charged employees and providing retirement benefits; regularization of contractual employees in GAD, MIS, Economics and Statistics, NRHM, MACS, RNKP, Forest, Social Welfare depts.; regularization of contract employees in Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat;providing 6th pay scale to all employees and workers of Municipal Councils, DRDA, Aided School Teachers and Autonomous District Councils; increase of 10% in basic pay scale in secretariat duty allowance and overtime allowance for Secretariat employees and other depts.; to provide 6th pay scale before 7th pay scale have come into effect.
