BSF strengthens community ties with CAP, free medical camp in Kangpokpi

In a powerful gesture of solidarity and support, the 37 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), under the leadership of Sanjiv Joshi, Commandant, and the aegis of JKBirdi, DIG, SHQ CI(OPS) Manipur, conducted a Civic Action Programme (CAP) and free medical camp at Tagaramphung (Yaikongpao) village in Kangpokpi district today.
This humanitarian initiative was aimed at strengthening trust, fostering goodwill, and addressing the critical needs of local villagers.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 250 villagers, including village chiefs, community leaders, and youth club members from several villages - Ningthoupham, T-Khullen, South Changoubung, Daili, Tagaramphung, Tumnoupokpi, Kalapahar, Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi, and Koubru Leikha - coming together in a rare display of unity and collaboration.
As a testament to its commitment, the BSF distributed essential supplies to uplift the local populace.
Items such as football and volleyball sets, carrom boards, badminton kits, water storage tanks, dispensers, water filters, and solar lights were provided to enhance daily life and promote sportsmanship among the youth.
In a parallel effort, the BSF also organized a free medical camp at Keithelmanbi Government High School, partnering with doctors from Kangpokpi Government Hospital and the 37 Bn BSF's medical team.
Over 200 displaced individuals and villagers from the Keithelmanbi Relief Camp received critical medical care, check-ups, and free medicines, bringing much-needed healthcare to those who need it most.
The village chiefs expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging the BSF's role in ensuring stability, safety, and social upliftment.
They emphasized the significance of strong ties between security forces and local communities in fostering long-term peace and development.
Speaking at the event, Commandant Sanjiv Joshi reaffirmed the BSF's unwavering commitment to not just safeguarding borders but also uplifting communities, fostering trust, and improving lives.
He also thanked the villagers for their participation and assured continued efforts to strengthen this bond of mutual respect and cooperation.
