AMUCO felicitates Myanmar Meeteis

All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) on Friday felicitated a group comprising of nine Myanmar Meeteis who visited Manipur to attend the recently concluded Sangai Festival 2015 at Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel.
The function was attended by AMUCO President Dr Y Mani Khuman, Mutuwa Museum founder Mutuwa Bahadur and Kakchingtabam Surjakumar, who led the Myanmar Meeteis team, as Presidium Members.
During the felicitation function, AMUCO Advisor KT Rehman recalled that Meeteis in Myanmar were proud to be called Meeteis as they hailed from Manipur.
He said that Meeteis in Myanmar and other States of India and countries need to be united to preserve a common identity.
Mentioning that AMUCO have been continuously trying to bring together all the Meeteis around the world since a long time, the AMUCO advisor assured continuing the effort.
"India has always tried to sow the seeds of hatred among various communities and disintegrate Manipur after annexing the erstwhile independent kingdom which has more than two thousand years of history", alleged KT Rehman and called the people to leave behind their narrow outlooks to be one.
Demanding of Supra State, Kuki Homeland, Alternative Arrangements are all the consequences of Manipur joining India, stated KT Rehman and asserted that people should fight together against any threat to the State.
AMUCO also presented the Myanmar Meeteis will "Khudei" and "Phanek" made in the State.
Later, AMUCO representatives, various civil society organisation leaders and the Myanmar's Meeteis jointly had a sumptuous feast.
