Works Minister inspects Dimapur MSRTC plot

A team of State officials led by Works and Transport Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar has inspected the 4.2 acre land of MSRTC at Dimapur in Nagaland yesterday.
There have been reports of land encroachment of the MSRTC complex in Dimapur.
Talking to media persons on the sideline of the inspection, Minister Dr Ratankumar said necessary measures would be taken up to prevent land encroachment and utilize the existing plot of MSRTC in a proper way.
The inspection visit of the Minister was carried out in the backdrop of report of land encroachment of the MSRTC complex and the mess perpetrated by its c ashier, who allegedly leased out 11 out of the 15 residential quarters located inside the complex a the rate of Rs 500 each per month.
The report stated that MSRTC godown has been converted into cement storing place after leasing out to a cement dealer at the rate Rs 3000 per month.
Moreover, a large portion of the land belonging to the MSRTC has been encroached upon and built a house by a man from Bihar.
The report further said that none of the tenants has any official document for occupying the residential quarters in the complex nor is there any legal paper for leasing out the huge godown of MSRTC, Dimapur to anyone.
