Imphal, June 03 2011: Baruni Films made its debut in the State with the release of its maiden production entitled Luhongbagi Ahing at Classic Hotel today.

With Bijgupta Laishram penning the script in addition to donning the role of director, Gokul and Bala are the lead actors of the film which also include popular artistes such as Lalitabi, Narendra, Purneshori, Sonia and Ashok.

As chief guest of the film release programme, W Lalitkumar described as a healthy sign arrival of women producers in the movie trade.

L Surjakanta, functional president expressed concern that more than one lakh disc copies of Manipuri films are being sold in the black market.

He also called upon the film fraternity and movie enthusiasts to buy only genuine disc which could be distinguished from the authentication hologram.
