CRPF launches Swachhta Pakhwada

As per the direction of the Government of India, 143 Battalion, CRPF, Lamphelpat, Imphal, launched a fortnight long Swachhta Pakhwada on Sunday.
Additionally, a pledge taking ceremony was also held.
According to a release issued by CRPF, various activities will be conducted during the Swachhta Pakhwada to encourage people to maintain cleanliness, adopt eco-friendly use of resources, proper disposal of E-Waste, etc.
Besides, a seminar was also organised in connection with World Aids Day at Unit HQ Lamphelpat, Imphal.
Dr Saikat Biswas, CMO (S/ G) of this unit delivered a lecture on various aspects of the dreaded disease followed by a Power Point Presentation on causes & preventive measures of AIDS.
Ravinder Sharma, Commandant, also encouraged all to adopt a healthy lifestyle to protect themselves from various diseases.
A large number of Jawans, Subordinate officers and Senior officers of the Unit attended the event.
