Kangpokpi, February 28 2018:
The Kuki National Front (KNF), an entity of the tripartite talks with the State and Central Government under UPF, denounced the alleged abduction of Ved Vidyalaya construction workers at Charhajare in Kangpokpi District by unknown armed miscreants on February 27 .
The outfit's information and publicity secretary, Lh Stephen said that unknown miscreants suspected to be armed militants abducted some workers of Ved Vidyalaya at Charhajare in the night of February 27 .
While condemning the alleged abduction in the strongest term, Lh Stephen urged the abductors to release the workers sooner than later so as to evade misunderstanding and uncalled-for incident in the near future.
He also said that it is very unfortunate to have witness such anti social activities when peace and harmony begins to prevail in the area and termed such act as against peace and harmony.
KNF also asked the abductors to listen to the peaceful call and release the construction workers in the larger interest of the public while warning that KNF will launch intense operation upon the culprits if the abductors fail to comply with the peaceful call.
The outfit further appealed all organizations not to indulge in such anti social activities.
It also warned that those who voice against the decision of the outfit, in punishing the culprits, will be held solely responsible for their own act.
