Thoubal, December 31 2017: A huge quantity of liquor (Indian Made Foreign Liquor and local liquor) worth around Rs 1.30 lakh, were disposed in front of Excise Thoubal at Thoubal Mini Secretariat complex today.

The disposed liquors, were seized in the past two months by Thoubal police and Excise Thoubal, reports our correspondent.

Thoubal Police Station OC, B Rishikesh Sharma, Excise Station, Thoubal OC, L Dino Singh and other police personnel were present at the time of disposal.

Speaking to media persons, OC, B Rishikesh Sharma stated that the various liquor drives were conducted under the leadership of SP, Thoubal K Meghachandra and Excise Thoubal, Deputy SP L Raghu against illicit liquor.

The local liquor (1242) would be worth around Rs 62,000 and the IMFL would be around Rs 70,000 in the local market.
