MPCC member, office bearers of KBCC resign

Bishnupur, March 30 2019:
Amid the political slugfests in between the rival political parties in the run up to the ensuing 17th Lok Sabha Election, Ningombam Ibobi alias Ithai Ibobi, a member of MPCC, Kumbi Kendra, who had been in association with the party for the last 19 years and who had also served as Treasurer of Bishnupur District Congress Committee for more than 3 years and who had even contested from Kumbi AC in 2002 on Congress ticket, resigned from Congress party.
He announced the decision to quit Congress party in a press meet held at his residence at Ithai Khunou today.
Secy Adm, Kumbi Block Congress Committee (KBCC), L Bishorjit; president Minority Cell, KBCC, Md Sanayaima; Publicity Secy, KBCC Th Sushilchandra; president KBCC L Purellakpa and former president KBYCC Karam Gyaneshwor followed suit and announced their decision to quit Congress party in the press meet.
Speaking to the media persons, Ningombam Ibobi said that when it comes to taking decision to solve all the major issues of Manipur, major political parties active in the State depend on the decision of their national leaders which has led to increase in the numbers of unsolved important issues.
As such, it is better to join regional party who will work in the interest of Manipuri people, he added.
