'No work, no pay' to be effective soon for Social Welfare Department employees

The "No work, no pay" policy will soon be effective for employees of Social Welfare Department, asserted Minister Nemcha Kipgen.
During a surprise visit at District Social Welfare Office, Bishnupur District, Minister Nemcha advised the officers-in- charge to properly maintain the attendance register while urging all employees to inculcate the sense of punctuality by attending office in the official allotted timings without fail.
"One should not forget that a salary is being paid by the Government to efficiently and effectively serve the public on time", she said.
The Minister further advised the officials at the department to ardently listen to the grievances of the people by dealing them empathy.
The Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister inspected all rooms occupied by District Social Welfare Office, Bishnupur District and urged the officials to maintain the office compound neat and clean.
She also assured the officials that she will extend all possible assistance to the employees for their welfare and asked the staff to approach her for any assistance and concern pertaining to the welfare and development of the department.
Minister Nemcha expressed that such spot visit in the District offices will be frequently conducted in the coming days, so as to ensure that the offices in all the districts are functioning efficiently and that the district offices serve its purpose properly.
