Imphal, January 30 2017: As part of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization' (IPPI) drive, Tamenglong Battalion and Jawalamukhi Battalion of Senapati Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division conducted pulse polio immunization programmes at Polo Ground, Tamenglong district HQs, Lairouching and Motbung respectively in co-ordination with the district medical authorities on January 29 .

Altogether, 244 children under five years were administered polio drops.

Chief Medical Officers, Regimental Medical Officers of respective Battalion and a team of para medical staff took part in the programmes.

The second phase of IPPI drive is scheduled on April 2.The efforts of the units in organising such a mega drive to eradicate polio was highly appreciated by the locals.
