Career counselling programme held

Imphal, December 29 2024: In connection with the 23rd foundation day of Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur, a career counselling programme was conducted today at Lamphel Sanakeithel Community Hall on the theme, "Empowering Internally Displaced Students, An Interaction and Counselling Initiative".

Speaking on the occasion, DESAM president Mayengbam Somoijit said that the career counselling programme was organised to encourage and help the internally displaced students who have been forced to shelter at relief camps and other places due to the conflict which began on May 3, 2023.He also stressed on the need to motivate the internally displaced students and divert their minds from the prevailing situation in the State so that they may focus on their studies as other students.

Seeking support of the local clubs and organisations, Somorjit announced that similar career counselling programmes will be conducted at relief camps opened across the State to help the internally displaced students.

Pukhrambam Aalochana (Diana), career counsellor of SS Career Solution and Samjetsabam Majoljao also attended the programme as the resource person and guest of honour respectively.
