Shija Hospitals receives Angels Diamond Award for excellence in stroke care

Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt Ltd has been awarded the WSO-Angels Award Q2 2024 Diamond Status from the World Stroke Organization (WSO).
The award was given to the institute at the 16th World Stroke Congress, held from October 23-26 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This prestigious award recognises Shija Hospitals' excellence in stroke care, solidifying its position as a leader in the field, said the hospital's Managing Director, Dr Palin Khundongbam at a celebratory programme held at the institute today.
The Angel Initiative is a non-promotional global healthcare programme endorsed by the WSO, ESO (European Stroke Organization) and multiple local and National bodies to improve and optimize stroke.
As the first stroke-ready hospital in the State, Shija Hospitals is equipped with state-of-the-art 18-bedded neuro-ICU and 27-bedded neuro-ward, supported by a dedicated team of full-time specialists, including a neurologist, neurosurgeon, neuro-interventional radiologist, psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, and physiotherapist.
