Imphal, October 29 2017: 6 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a free Medical cum Dental camp at Wakha Noimaijing Ching, Imphal East district on 29 Oct 2017 .

The camp was conducted by the Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Imphal.

A specially constituted team comprising of two Medical Officers and 07 paramedical staff from Assam rifles, 28 Rotary Club members and 30 civil doctors from various hospitals of Imphal participated in the camp.

The aim of the camp was to provide free medical & dental treatment including treatment of the local populace in need of medical and dental treatment.

A total of 351 patients including 170 males, 110 females and 71 children were given free treatment and medicines during the camp.

Apart from much needed medical and dental assistance, basic knowledge on epidemic diseases and precautions from the same was also imparted to the locals.

The locals conveyed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles and the Rotary Club for conducting the medical cum dental camp and providing much needed assistance.
