CNPO to unveil monolith on Naga unity, heritage

Imphal, November 28 2024: Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) will unveil a monolith honouring ancestral heritage and Naga unity at Liwa Sarei, Chandel district on December 6.In a release, CNPO appealed to the Chandel denizens to offer prayers and extend cooperation for smooth conduct of the unveiling event.

CNPO "earnestly requested the public's assistance in maintaining peace and tranquillity during the programme, by refraining from organising any form of agitation that may disrupt the event".

The historic event will symbolise the unity of 11 Naga tribes and unwavering commitment to Naga soli darity, ancestral heritage, and cultural preservation, it mentioned.

"As we gather to unveil this monument, we honour the sacrifices of our forefathers, who paved the way for our freedom, identity, and cultural inheritance.

We pay homage to their enduring legacy and reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding our land, traditions, and values for future generations," it said.
