Imphal, June 28 2016: The District Council Administration, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi imparted training to its teachers on Sickle Cell Anaemia screening at the multi- purpose hall of SHADC, Kangpokpi, today, our correspondent reports. Headmaster/Headmistress under SHADC, Kangpokpi, took part in the training pro- gram that was attended by DK Thangboi, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC, Kangpokpi; Dr Brajamani, Medical Officer, SHADC, Kangpokpi and Dr John Meigai, Vety Officer, SHADC, Kangpokpi as re- source persons. While speaking at the function, DK Thangboi urged the Headmasters/Headmis- tresses to sincerely perform their assigned duty in connection with the screening of Sickle Cell Anaemia in their respective schools. Dr Brajamani and Dr John Meigai dem- onstrated the ways to handle the instruments and procedures of screening Sickle Cell Anaemia. Various instruments and other materials were distributed to the attending Headmasters/Headmistresses after the training program.
