IFFCO laLack of security forces cast shadow of deep uncertainty: TASO

Tamenglong, August 26 2021: The Tousem Area Students Organisation (TASO) has expressed its reservation over the lack of security forces in Tousem Sub-Division and urged the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.

A press release issued by TASO informed that Tousem Subdivision has been cast into a shadow of deep uncertainty with the absence of security forces in the headquarters and in the bordering areas.

It stated that people have a sense of foreboding when they are denied protection from the security force while adding that people feel unsafe as there is ever increasing breaking of law and order mechanisms especially in the southern part of Tousem Subdivision.

"It is a matter of grave concern and hard to digest on why the Tousem Sub-Division SDPO post has been laid vacant for more than a year despite repeated petitions to the Government and other officials", it said.

TASO further urged the Government to consider the sentiments of the people who are feeling alienated and act on the matter at the earliest.
