Community service organised

Senapati, November 25 2017:
Marking a new initiative, the Eco-Guardians of Senapati, DBC Maram unit took an initiative to conduct its first community service at Maram Kavanam village.
The service was held in collaboration with Kavanam Youth and Student Organisation to help the people understand the importance of clean and healthy lifestyle.
The community service was graced by Senapati DC, Athem Muivah in the presence of SDC (HQ) & Convenor of Eco- Guardian Senapati, Duna Duo, Founder-Chairman & Co-Convenor Eco-Guardian Senapati, Siipuni Ng Philo, general secretary of SDSA, Newman Polah, PNTM president, Theophilus Rangmathat among others.
More than 156 individuals along witb.,21.members of Eco-Guardian, Senapati participated in the community service which comprised of youths and villagers.
The participants were offered refreshment by the Eco-Guardian Senapati in partnership with the village authority after successfully completing the event.
Meanwhile, the Eco-Guardian members interacted with the DC, Senapati and his team on topics ranging from cleanliness to global warming and others.
The DC also encouraged the guardians members to come up with innovative ideas and scientific approach to tackle the environmental issues including pollution and to make Senapati the cleanest and greenest district in the State.
Eco-Guardians of Senapati of Senapati is a district administration mandated group of 100 brightest and best students drawn out from various schools and colleges of the district to act as an action oriented group for a clean and green Senapati.
