Youth Congress to begin country-wide agitation against LA Bill

Imphal, March 25 2015: Indian Youth Congress secretary Dayan Hussein here on Wednesday announced that a nationwide agitation will be launched on March 31 against the passage of Land Acquisition Bill in the Parliament.

Addressing media at the Congress Bhavan, Hussein insisted that the Land Acquisition Bill introduced and passed by the Narendra Modi headed NDA Govern-ment at the Centre has the potential to harm the farmers and the poor gravely.

He contended that there are certain terms incorporated in the bill similar to the British Era Land Acquisition Act.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone against his tall promises for the welfare of people as his Government is now inflicting woes against its people.

Hussein said that though crude oil price has gone down globally, the Modi Government has hiked fuel price in India.

"Modi is frequently visiting foreign countries and passing a bill that will hit hard on the farmers and the poor," he charged.

He announced that a countrywide agitation against the passage of the bill will be started on March 31 .
