Financial Literacy Week

A five days Financial Literacy Week will be conducted by Reserve Bank of India Imphal at the Imperial hall, Classic Grande, Chingmeirong Imphal on June 4 .
A press release issued by RBI Imphal stated that Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu has consented to grace the inaugural function.
The theme for this year's Financial Literacy Week is "Consumer Protection", it stated while adding that the theme has been chosen to create awareness among the consumers of financial services about their rights, responsibilities, good practices and resolution mechanisms in a fast changing digital and financial landscape.
Information about the literacy camp will be spread through posters in bank branches, ATMs and websites of banks.
It stated that the Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs) set up by banks will also conduct programmes to raise awareness to the masses.
RBI Imphal has made arrangements to transmit various messages through the AIR, Imphal and leading local channels during the literacy week, it added.
