Imphal, January 24 2019: The Manipur State Council of All India Youth Federation (MSC/AIYF) organised a one day youth convention on campaign for free and fair election at Manipur Press Club today.

Manipur University Associate Professor Dr Chinglen Maisnam, Human Rights Activist Babloo Loitongbam, Senior Citizens for Society, Manipur general secretary retd Professor L Sadananda and retd professor H Jayantakumar attended the convention as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, MSC/AIYF president M Somorjit stated that a State level committee/body will be constituted after the end of the convention adding that the committee will be branched out to all the 60 constituencies of the State.

He maintained that series of awareness campaigns will be carried out with an aim to voice on making the election free and fair.

Conveying that the initiative will be taken up to elect the most eligible an qualified representative without corruption, Somorjit stated that candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election should refrain from using unethical voting strategy and money power as well.
