WWOK Jiri observes anniversary

Jiribam, January 24 2018: Women Welfare Organisation Kangleipak (WWOK), Branch- Babupara, Jiribam celebrated its fifth anniversary at the premises of the organization.

President of WWOK Jiribam H Thoibi, advisor of All Jiribam Working Journalist Union (AJWJU) Th Sarat Singh and advisor of Louri Khongthang Lup Jiribam H Dhoni Meitei attended the foundation day celebration as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

During the celebration, members of the organization who participated in the Nupi Lan Lamjel on December 12 last year were presented gifts of appreciation.

Speaking at the event, Th Sarat said that women have been playing significant roles in the development of the State since time immemorial.

Women have been contributing greatly to the economy of the State, he said.

H Dhoni Meitei urged women to respect and embrace the rich culture and traditions of the State.

Giving her presidential speech, H Thoibi Devi, president of WWOK Jiribam branch, called for unity and collective efforts to develop the district and the State at large.
