AR raids village at Motbung, nabs labour

Imphal, July 23 2011: Troops of 43 AR posted at Motbung raided Purum Pangaltabi last night at around 1 am and arrested a labour.

The labour was identified as Md Abbas Khan (25) son of Md Kiyamuddin.

The AR team came again today and left the house of Abbas Khan scattered as if searching something.

Without finding anything the team left only to came againt in the afternoon and again searched for something in vain in and around the house, said family members of Abbas Khan.

They further told Hueiyen Lanpao that Abbas was once arrested by CDOs on charge of being a sympathizer of UNLF about two years ago.

However he was freed finding him innocent.

Some UG cadres came to his home some years back requesting for shelter for one night on which they turned down their request.

The cadres who came that night have now surrendered to AR.

The arrest of Abbas Khan might be the handiwork of the cadres, family members said.
