However, even after the end of summer vacation the university is not in a position to commence second semester classes properly.
The matter was discussed between the Vice Chancellor and some student representatives at a meeting held on June 22 .
The VC told the students that there was no fund for the university and it was crippling many activities of the university including normal classes.
Further investigation revealed that funds sanctioned for MUC could not reach MUC authority, Bhumeshwar said.
Alleging that MUC is floW looking at a very grim future due to the failure of the officials concerned of Finance Department and Art & Culture Department, he sought immediate attention of the Minister concerned and the Chief Minister.
After due consideration, the MUC Students Welfare Association has decided to demand immediate release of funds sanctioned for the university so as to commence second semester classes and other academic activities and also to set up a separate campus for MUC.
In case the Government fails to fulfil the demands by July 15, MUC students would be constrained to launch different modes of agitation from the next he added.
