Arvind Hanglem ranks 83rd in UPSCSE 2022

Imphal, May 23 2023: Manipur's Arvind Hanglem has secured the 83rd position in the Civil Services Examination 2022-23 conducted by Union Public Services Examination (UPSC and the results of which were declaredd on Tuesday.

In all, 933 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service (180), Indian Foreign Service (38), Indian Police Service (200) and Central Services Group 'A' (473) and Group `B' (131) .

Among the recommended candidates, four (two each from Meetei and Kuki community) are from Manipur.

They are Arvind Hanglem (83), V Soilemthang Val-phei (619), Chiinzoukim Tungnung (704) and Lourembam Nelson Man-gangcha (915) .

UP SC CSE 2022 (mains) was held in September last year and the per-sonality test conducted from Jan-uary to May this year.

Meanwhile, Assam's Mayur Haz-arika scored the 5th position in the UPSC CSE, making him the topper from the northeast region.

In ad-dition, two other candidates from Assam along with three candidates from Arunachal Pradesh and four from Nagaland also passed the ex-amination.
