Tamenglong, January 23 2024: Tamenglong Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted mobile outreach medical camps in more than 10 villages across the entire Vangai ridge from January 21 to 23, 2024 in Tamenglong district.

The villages across Vangai ridge fall in a very remote area and are devoid of the most basic medical facilities.

The camp was conducted as an empathetic gesture, to address the health issues of the locals residing in the area, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

More than 450 people were benefited by the conduct of the camp which entailed general health checkup and medical examination by medical staff of Assam Rifles.

Medicines were also distributed and administered as per requirement of the patients.

The medical camp was a successful initiative and provided medicare accessibility to the locals residing around the Vangai ridge.

This initiative by Assam Rifles was appreciated and the locals lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for their noble gesture.
