CCpur, January 23 2019:
The YPA's indefinite shutdown in Churachandpur was lifted today evening, two days after it completely crippled normal life in the main markets of the district, said a statement issued by YPAGHQ.
The shutdown it said was relaxed from 6 pm today in view of the considerable inconveniences faced by the general public.
The organisation has imposed the indefinite shutdown since Tuesday demanding that the Government booked all those involved in the alleged murder attempt of its general secretary sometime back.
The YPA statement today has made no mention if their demands has been attended to, by the government, or not.
Normal life was affected today for the second consecutive days in the town area as volunteers in some area used portable speakers informing people not to venture out in the streets.
The ongoing BA exams at various colleges in the district however was not affected as the students taking exams were exempted by the volunteers.
The parade rehearsal of Police personnel for Republic Day at Lamka Public ground was also proceeded as usual.
A group of womenfolk have also sat in front of the DCs gate in an attempt to prevent him from venturing out.
While the town area was largely locked down and wore a deserted look by the shutdown, areas beyond Tuibong and Rengkai were not affected by the shutdown.
