Bishnupur, October 22 2019: An assistant teacher at Pinjabati High School, Md Atao Rahman of Boryangbi Awang Leikai has been missing since yesterday morning, said locals who held a public meeting regarding the case at the local community hall today.

Md Atao Rahman is son of Md Abdul Gani.

He left home at around 8.45 am to attend BEd classes at Thokchom Ibotombi Institute of Teacher Education Training Centre in Binshnupur, where he is undergoing training, said locals.

The public meeting at Boryangbi Awang Leikai Community Hall with Md Nural Islam as president took several resolution and formed a JAC in connection with the missing case.

Convenor of the JAC Md Idrish Ali said that Md Atao is a dedicated teacher and appealed the authorities concerned to search for him.

Sister of Md Atao, Chaoba also urged all concerned to release her brother in case they have him in their custody.

Md Atao is due to marry soon, she said.
