United body for Purum community formed

Imphal, June 22 2020: After convening a meeting for Purum community which is one of the recognised indigenous tribes of the State, a united body of the community named "Purum Riem Council Manipur (PRCM)" was formed on June 14 .

Mamsokum Bapui was elected as president of the council while Joseph Songthu and Hosai Songthu were selected as general secretary and finance secretary respectively.

S Reneichong and David Songthu will be the members of the advisory board while KN Wainel, Thangboi Songthu, Rangneithang Songthu, Anderson, L Romio and Thangneilen Bapui were selected as executive members of the council.
