Imphal, June 21 2022:
Chief Minister N Biren has stated that efforts would be made to repair all roads including mending the potholes after end of monsoon season.
The CM was responding to questions from the media at the end of the 8th International Day of Yoga celebrated at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak, here on Tuesday.
Regarding the misuse of the CM's name in the Truecaller application, Biren stated that in addition to the Truecaller application, many fake accounts have been found, opened on social media platforms using his photo and name.
There have also been instances wherein his Facebook account was hacked and left locked, he noted.
Revealing that an FIR has been registered in this regard, the CM further informed that the fake Truecaller users have been making monetary demands.
On investigation, it was found that two people were involved, one of whom happened to be a member of a proscribed group.
They are currently being tracked and will soon be arrested, he affirmed.
To another query that incessant rain in the last few days has led to flash flood in Vangai Range of Pherzawl district while the district administration has been unable to connect with the area for providing relief materials, Biren maintained that the government is closely monitoring the flood situation.
If needed, helicopters will be used for providing relief materials to the affected areas, he said.
Fortunately, as the past 2-3 days have witnessed only light rainfall, authorities would soon be able to go to the affected area, all of which is being closely monitored by the government, he added.
