ATRPFM appeals Govt to release beneficiary schemes

Imphal, August 20 2019: ATRPFM has decried that the family oriented schemes for the year 2018-19 under the TA&Hills have not been released to the beneficiaries till date, which is a complete failure of practical governance.

The poor tribal people who have been patiently waiting to take up different tracks like embroidery, banana, flower and piggery farms etc are now frustrated and they have lost their hope in the Government, it claimed.

The funds for the same have been already released some months ago by the Central Govt but they have not reached to the beneficiaries till date which is a clear negligence on the part of the Government towards the weaker sections of the society, alleged ATRPFM.

It further alleged that the State Government has diverted funds for the tribal people, under different schemes, for the past many years and claimed that it is rather shameful on the part of the Govt.The action and inaction of the State Government under the leadership of N Biren have hampered the economic well being of the tribal people to a large extend, it further alleged.

It appealed the State Government to release the funds to the beneficiaries under different schemes and not to divert the funds mean for the tribal population any further.

It threatened that ATRPFM will not remain silent if the State Government fails to release the said fund within reasonable time period and continue to divert the funds mean for the welfare of the tribals.

"We would directly raise our voice before the Union Ministry and explore other means to correct the wrong doing, it added.
