Joy's Creation, mega fashion event on October 20

Imphal, August 20 2018: Joy's Creation, a mega fashion event for promotion of designs on handloom and handicraft products of the State will be held on October 20 this year.

Addressing a press meet held at East Garden, Kongba, Imphal East, the main organizer of the mega fashion event and also a designer from the State, Joy Moirangmayum conveyed that the event is his first event being organized in the State.

He went on to inform that about 50 models/contestants will be selected through an audition to compete in the grand finale of the event slated on October 20."No entry fee or any amount of money has been taken from the contestants.

The event is purely organized with the objective to nurture the budding models and designers of the State apart from promoting the handloom and handicraft products of the State to the renowned designers who will be coming from outside the State as guest designers to attend the grand finale," he said.

Miss Manipur, 2017 Strela Thounaojam who also attended the press meet drew the attention of the general public and media lamenting that little attention is paid to modelling and designing as careers.

Saying that modelling can be a suitable career option for many of the youngsters in the State if general people have proper knowledge about its prospects, she exuded confidence that Joy's Creation will go a long way towards grooming the young models and designers of the State.
