Entries invited for 2019 Global Youth Video Competition

Imphal, June 20 2019: The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), in partnership with GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) will be conducting a video competition titled, '2019 Global Youth Video Competition' which is the fifth edition.

A press release issued by secretary, NBA stated that in this years edition, young people from around the world are encouraged to showcase their talents, creativity and express their ideas in the form of a 3 minute video under three themes namely, nature-based solutions for food and human health, cities and local action to combat climate change and nature based solutions to balance the use of land for people and ecosystem.

It stated that participants must be between the age of 18 and 30 and the videos should be submitted by July 28 .

Under each category, one winner will be selected and three winners will be invited to attend the UN Climate Change Conference in Santiago, Chile in December 2019, where the winning videos will be screened.

Entries are to be submitted online at their website (biomovies.tve.org) .
