Imphal, May 20 2021: The Directorate of Health and Services has requested the Administrative Department to take necessary actions against doctors who had reportedly failed to join the Ukhrul District Hospital.

Of the 6 MHS doctors who had failed to report to District Hospital Ukhrul, Dr Pinky Chanu (ENT Specialist) and Dr Priyadarshini Shougrakpam (MO) had reported to Ukhrul District Hospital (UDH) on 12th and 17th May respectively.

The Chief Minister has also instructed the Health Department to stay the transfer orders of Dr M Sanjeet (MO), Dr Geetchandra Tongbram (MO) and Dr Tikendrajit Ningombam (Anaesthetist) from UDH, said a written communication from K Rajo Singh, Director of Health and Services.

The three doctors have been asked to report to UDH immediately.

Dr Md Yahia Khan (Gynaecologist) is yet to report at DH Ukhrul.

The Director further said that 10 MOs on contractual basis have been posted recently to UDH for COVID-19 related activities and two MHS doctors namely Dr Md Nusharat (Anaesthesiology) and Dr Ngasung Mahong (Surgery) have also been posted to UDH on May 15 and May 18 respectively.
