Kakching, January 20 2018: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Thoubal in association with NABARD Manipur Regional Office today opened Keirak Farmers' Development Club at Keirak, Kakching district.

The club is the 5th such club being set up as an initiative to encourage farmers to adopt and implement modern technologies and enhance their growth through various loans from banks.

A total of six clubs are being set up at different places in Thoubal and Kakching district, reports our correspondent.

A base level orientation programme was also conducted at the event.

Keirak GP Pradhan Elangbam Ongbi Shanti Leima, in-charge and head of KVK Thoubal, senior scientist Mohendro Singh Khaidem, Deputy General Manager of Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd (MSCB) L Angoutombi, Assistant General Manager of NABARD RK Yaiphaba Meitei, attended the event as dignitaries among others.
