Lone speaker from NE in AICC meet

Imphal, January 20 2013 : Manipuri lass Angellica Aribam, who is one of the National Secretaries of NSUI, was the lone speaker from the entire Northeast region in the AICC's meeting which concluded in Jaipur today.

Despite the presence of many Ministers/politicians from North East India in the meeting, 20-year old Angellica, who hails from Moidangpok under Imphal West district, was the only one who was asked to speak in front of around 1700 people including Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders.

Angellica, who is currently pursuing LLB from Delhi University, spoke on the topic of "Bridging the Gap with North East".

In her presentation, Angellica highlighted about atrocities being carried out on people of northeast origin in in different parts of the country.
