ILPS demand: Memorandums submitted to CM through six MLAs

Demanding immediate implementation of the ILPS in Manipur, people of six different assembly constituencies on Wednesday submitted memorandums to the Chief Minister through six local MLAs.
People of Patsoi and Sagolband A/C under the aegis of National Highway 32 Coordinating Committee submitted the memorandum to Sagolband A/C MLA Dr RK Imo, Patsoi A/C MLA and Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai.
Oriental Club Khongman Mangjil and people of Mangjil Meira Paibi Lamjing Lup also submitted a similar memorandum to Yaskul A/C MLA Elangbam Chand.
Meanwhile, memorandums were submitted to Uripok A/C MLA L Nandakumar, Oinam A/C MLA I Ibohanbi and Kumbi A/C MLA S Bira by a large number of people demanding immediate implementation of ILPS or similar bill to protect the indigenous people of the state.
Meanwhile, a sit-in protest was jointly staged on Wednesday by Khoijuman Apunba Meira Paibi and Global Science Club Khoijuman under Bishnupur district at Khoijuman bazaar demanding immediate implementation of ILPS.
After shouting many slogans during the protest, a silent rally was taken out from Khoijuman bazaar and headed towards Bishnupur bazaar.
But Bishnupur commando team blocked the protesters at Bishnupur Thongjao area.
The rally ended at Khoijuman.
Supporting the JCILPS led ongoing mass movement, people at Sagoltongba market under National Highway 37 protested and staged a sit-in demanding immediate implementation of ILPS in Manipur to safeguard the indigenous communities of the state.
Condemning the Govt's alleged delaying tactics over the public demand of ILPS, All Manipur Recognised Private School Welfare Association on Wednesday staged a sit-in protest at the community hall of Sagolband Moirang Leirak Ibudhou Khanglang.
The protesters condemned the Govt's alleged dictatorial rule and the delaying tactics on ILPS while demanding to safeguard the indigenous peoples.
Similar sit-in protests were held at different places of the Imphal valley including Macha Leima Compound and Lainingthou Sanamahi Thougal Kanglup at Palace Compound.
Tarung Women Welfare Society Langol Tarung also staged a sit-in at Langol while people at Thangmeiband Leirung Purel Leikai, Thangmei Yumnam Leikai, Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai, Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai, Moirangkhom Thumbu Thong blocked roads in support of the ILPS movement.
